On-campus housing at the University of New Mexico will be made available this year to our participants. Because the Suzuki Institute is designed to be an intense experience, participants are encouraged to stay on campus. All Residence halls are co-ed with men and women living separately in halls, floors, suites or sections of a building. Breakfast at La Posada Dining Hall is included with each night's stay. Bed linens are not furnished but are available for an additional charge. Bath linens (towels) are included. Men and women, boys and girls, do not share apartments unless family rents entire apartment. Suites are available to rent as one entire unit. Wireless as well as wired internet access is available in on-campus housing facilities. Types of housing available:

Adobe-style residence halls offer a variety of room type selections to meet your needs. Rooms include shared laundry, kitchen facilities and community bathrooms. Single rooms: $35./night Double rooms: $60./2 people/night- Redondo Village Apartments:
Each apartment includes community laundry facility and has four single bedrooms, a kitchen, living room and a shared bath access. There are no coffee pots or microwaves in kitchens. You may rent single rooms in apartments, but you will be housed with other parties in apartments. $45./night- Laguna de Vargas Suites: (Sorry, no longer available)
Suites consist of 2 doubles and 1 single sharing a bath and living area. There are no kitchen facilities. This option is recommended for larger families who may wish to share an entire living space. Accommodates up to 5 people. $200./night- Teen Dorm (Traditional Dormitory Style rooms):
Responsible participants 13 and older have the option of attending the Institute without their parents and will stay in the Teen Dorm. Teens will be assigned to a traditional dormitory style rooms, two to a room. Counselors who are experienced musicians will supervise the participants in the residence halls and during recreational or other activities. Teens are expected to abide by the established regulations and code of conduct. The Institute reserves the right to remove any student who chooses to behave otherwise. Cost $500. This includes lodging Sunday, 7/25 through Thursday, 7/24 and full meal plan. Extra room charge of $30. is applied for stay-overs through Friday night.- Off-Site Options
For those wishing to obtain their own housing arrangements, The Club House Inn and Suites has offered a $69/night rate for rooms and $89/night rate for 2-room suites. This rate is good from Friday, 7/23 through Saturday, 7/31. They offer a complimentary full hot breakfast buffet, as well as complimentary airport and local shuttle service 7AM - 7PM daily. In order to receive this special conference rate, phone the Club House Inn and Suites directly (in-state 505-345-0010; out-of-state toll-free 866-345-0010) for reservations. You must indicate you are attending the New Mexico Suzuki Institute in order to receive this rate. Meals
La Posada Dining Hall, located conveniently next to residence halls, provides lunch and dinner each day during the Institute. A full meal plan consists of 11 meals, which includes a Great Grill Cookout on Sunday evening, 7/25, and lunch and dinner Monday 7/20 through Friday 7/24. (for on-campus residence, breakfast is included at La Posada Dining Hall as well) Lunch only option is available at La Posada Dining Hall Monday through Friday. All Meal Plan participants will receive a card which is ONLY available for use at La Posada Dining Hall. It will not be valid at any of the Student Union Building facilities.
- Full meal plan (Sunday Cookout, Lunch & Dinner Monday-Friday) is $120.00.
- Lunch only plan (Monday-Friday) is $50.00.
Additionally, you may dine on a “pay as you go” basis at La Posada Dining Hall or the Student Union Building at UNM, where the there are several fast food options available.
Teacher Workshop participants: Workshop participants may sign up for a meal plan. Additionally there are many restaurants within walking distance of the campus. Workshop participants are invited to all faculty receptions during the week.
Great Grill Sunday Cookout
After our opening ceremonies, we will provide a buffet style cookout on campus. It is included in the Full Meal Plan for participants. Please reserve this dinner on the Summary of Payment form.

Parking
Permits are always required to park on campus. The parking lots in the Residence Hall area, that are available to our guests, are “D,” “R,” and “E” zones. Parking permits are available for purchase. Please indicate on the Payment Form if you need a parking permit.
- Weekly permit $28.
Commuting Students
The Suzuki Institute is an intense experience. Classes may begin as early as 8:30 am and the schedule may not end until 6:00 pm excluding evening concerts and performances. We highly recommend that you make the activities of the Institute your priority for the week.
